1-800-WATER DAMAGE Signs Franchise Agreement for Fairfield County
Niche Concept Signs East Coast Family Team

Seattle, Wash. – 1-800-WATER DAMAGE, the nation’s leading franchise specializing in water damage restoration for homes and businesses, announced today it has signed an agreement with an East Coast family to develop a franchise serving the Fairfield County communities of Greenwich, Norwalk and Bridgeport.

Greg, Mike and Ana Scanlon anticipate opening their 1-800 WATER DAMAGE franchise in March 2006.  The family hopes to expand upward through Fairfield County and possibly to Westchester County, N.Y. in the future.  The Scanlons each have a different career background to offer: Mike has worked in the financial arena for 16 years, Ana was a computer programmer for over 15 years, and Greg has been a mechanic for over 25 years.

“The Scanlons’ diverse career backgrounds, along with their enthusiasm for customer relations, were a natural fit for 1-800-WATER DAMAGE in Fairfield County,”  said Eric Little, director of franchise development for 1-800-WATER DAMAGE. “We anticipate their backgrounds to provide great growth and service for the 1-800-WATER DAMAGE brand in the Fairfield County area.”
1-800-WATER DAMAGE, with approximately 80 locations operating across the United States, offers homes and businesses a wide array of water damage restoration services, including: water extraction; basement, crawl space and structural drying; dehumidifying; odor removal and disinfecting. Technicians respond to customers within 90 minutes.
“After working for over 15+ years in various fields, we wanted to bring the business and customer service skills we each have learned over the years to work in a reputable, self-operated business of our own,” said Mike Scanlon. “1-800-WATER DAMAGE has a great reputation for quality service in a niche industry. We look forward to bringing this much-needed service to homes and businesses throughout Fairfield County.”
