What is Water Damage?
Water damage comes in many different forms and is caused by many different sources. Some of the most common causes come from broken pipes, an overflowing tub, or a backed-up toilet, but it also comes from hot water tank failures, outside incursions or even the HVAC condensation line that clogs.
Many times, these events are evident at the get-go and can be addressed immediately. However, many of these causes happen over a long period of time or start out as a small pin-sized leak that grows. No matter the situation, speed is of the essence, as we can come out and quickly assess the situation and prevent any further damage to your property.
One of the most important things I can stress to both homeowners and business owners is periodically inspecting your property. Doing this every couple of months can help reduce the extent of the damage that may be taking place inside your walls, floors, and ceilings.
Here are just a few examples of items we have come across that could have been minimized if the leaks were detected sooner.
What to look for in your home or business
When you are doing your routine inspection, look at your ceilings nearest your roof or below a second-story bathroom. As you make your rounds, look at the baseboards in and around areas like bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens.
Here are a few examples of what you might see that would warrant a call to 1-800 WATER DAMAGE to have us do a full assessment of your property to stop the damage and put it back together for you.
